Key chains made of residual materials for the High Tauern National Park Climate School

In time before the kids are back to school, SoPro have developed key chains and simple "pendants" for distribution to pupils of the Carinthia & Salzburg climate schools

St. Poelten GESA produce 1,200 pieces of key chains and 500 pieces of pendants. Basic materials are residual materials from the BENE AG and residues of Forex rigid foam boards. The key ring was bought in addition. The climate school is an educational offer for school forms, with the target to create awareness of climate protection and as sustainable lifestyle among the school girls and boys, and to encourage their active participation. The High Tauern National Park and the Verbund AG, Austria's largest electricity provider, point the way towards climate protection with the innovative educational programme "VERBUND-Climate School of the High Tauern National Park". The school girls and boys acquire comprehension of the factors and connections, which influence our climate on a regional and on a global scale. The decision-makers of the future grow aware that they can actively contribute towards climate protection, and as ambassadors for climate protection they convey their knowledge to their families.

Furthermore, an edition of the game "Climate Rallye" is being developed as a give-away, which has come into existence in 2012 at a pupils' competition: For "Climate Rallye", one needs to toss the dice well, and luck is required as well, in order to be first at the goal. There are, however, obstacles on the way, such as nuclear power or many air miles, which test one's luck! All those who stand for renewable energy, separate their waste or take the bus instead of the car, reach the goal quickly. But stop! Only if they prove their knowledge about climate and climate protection! Otherwise, the game would be too simple.
